Hey Reader,
My kid was in a pretty crazy accident this weekend, and the first responder on the scene was his coach. Firefighter by trade, coach to a group of crazy boys - he saved the day in more ways than one.
And, this week, I just want to say if your wife or husband is one of these courageous humans, thank them for all of us bumbling humans who would be lost without them.
From one grateful mother - Cheers to them. Cheers to you for sharing them with us.
Now....to the booze.
Spring Cocktails Vibes
We made it. The days are already starting to get longer...and hotter (especially if you're in the south like me!).
And, to match those spring vibes you deserve something delicious that has absolutely nothing to do with dinner prep.
Meet your new favorite spring drink: the Blackberry Limoncello Spritz. Three ingredients. Five minutes. Absolutely divine.
If spring had a flavor, this is it.
3 Ingredient Blackberry Limoncello Spritz
Ingredients:
1/2 oz. Limoncello
1/2 glass Prosecco
Top with Blackberry Flavored Clearly Canadian (or other blackberry sparkling water/soda)
Throw in a few blackberries for flair
Start with COLD ingredients, or add ice to your glass. Either is fine! I've done both.
Add Limoncello & fill glass about half way with Prosecco (sparkling wine).
Then, top off with your favorite Blackberry Seltzer--mine is Clearly Canadian (yesssss....the one from the 80s & 90's. It's here to stay.)
Throw in a few blackberries (if you've got 'em)
Important step -- don't forget!
Sit down. Enjoy. Repeat if not feeling quite springy enough🌸😋
If you aren't familiar with Limoncello.....it's Italy's answer to a lemon drop shot. Lemony, sweet, packed with a punch. It's a liqueur & it'll make any drink feel fancy.
You can also add a shot to sweet tea for an Arnold Palmer spin. Here's a pic of that Easy Boozy Sweet Tea ;)
Give these a try this weekend & let me know what you think:)
Have a gloriously flavorful spring weekend, friend.
Pretty sure you've earned it 🌷
Talk soon,
Brett
